Privacy Policy

This is what we collect, why, who we share it with, and how to ask us to change or delete it. We've kept it short and concrete. Write to hello@foundlocal.dev if any of it is unclear.
The short version
- We don't sell your data.
- We don't load third-party trackers, analytics SDKs, or advertising pixels on this site or on customer sites we build.
- We don't use customer data to train AI or machine-learning models.
- You can ask for a copy of what we hold or ask us to delete it. Email hello@foundlocal.dev.

What we collect
About your business
- The information you give us when you ask for a sample (business name, city, contact details, optional Google Maps link).
- Public information about your business that we use to build your site (for example, your Google Business Profile, public menu, public reviews).
About your account
- The billing email and name you give our payment processor at checkout.
- Your subscription status, billing period, and balance of any included credits.
Technical data
Standard server access logs (IP address, user-agent string, timestamp, requested URL) for the foundlocal.dev domain. We keep these for 90 days, then delete them.
What we do not collect
We do not collect demographic data, advertising identifiers, third-party tracker data, or analytics-SDK data. We don't direct our service at children under 16 and don't knowingly collect data from anyone under that age. If you believe a child has given us data, write to us and we'll delete it.
How payment data is handled
All payment-card data is held by our payment processor, not by us. We never see or store your card number, expiration, or security code.
Why we use what we collect
- To build, host, and maintain your website.
- To send you transactional email (welcome email, billing receipts, change-request acknowledgements, support replies).
- To meet legal obligations (tax records, fraud prevention).
- For internal product analytics on our own pipeline (how many leads convert, etc.), computed inside our own systems.
Who we share data with
We use a small number of vendors to run the service. We share data with them only to the extent they need it to do their job. Vendor categories include:
- A payment processor (for checkout, subscriptions, refunds).
- A transactional email provider (to send welcome and support email).
- A hosting and CDN provider (to serve websites and route traffic).
- An application infrastructure provider (where our internal database and admin tools run).
- Where applicable, a public-data research provider (to look up business listings during the build).
We don't share your data with anyone else. We don't sell it. We can name our current vendors on request — write to hello@foundlocal.dev.
How long we keep it
- Subscription data: for the lifetime of the customer relationship plus seven years for tax and audit.
- Non-converted lead data: up to 24 months from the last contact, then deleted or anonymized.
- Server access logs: 90 days.
Your rights
If you're a resident of the United States or Canada, you can ask us to:
- Send you a copy of what we hold about you.
- Correct anything that's wrong.
- Delete or anonymize what we hold, subject to the retention rules above (some transaction records have to be kept for tax purposes).

Cookies
This website uses no third-party cookies. We use first-party session cookies only where they're load-bearing. Visitor pages on foundlocal.dev set no tracking cookies.
Changes to this policy
If we make a material change to how we handle your data, we'll update the effective date at the top and email active customers at least 14 days before it takes effect.
